The cost of college is outrageous. I want to know why. I was in college in 1984, and it was
2500. My kids go to college now & it’s 25 thousand. They’re not ten times smarter.

Actually, I know why. Because more people want to go. The question is, is college worth the investment?
I don’t know, but my plumber just pulled up in a Lexus, and I’m pretty sure he didnt learn lefty loosey and righty-tighty in the Ivy league

US debt “crisis?” Not so much. The proposed cuts are like carny math. If Congress passes a bill to spend a trillion on paving the ocean, then the next day a bill to pave it for but “half a trillion,” they’ll claim they saved us 500 billion. The frightening part? They believe every word. What they refuse to understand is unsustainable. Doesn’t take a genius to know you can’t spend your way out of debt. Step right up!

The 420-Sexting

The 420 on SextingRecently I heard a mother say she caught her teenage daughter sexting, that is, sending naked pictures of herself to her boyfriend. Now, when I was a teenager, i couldn’t get a kiss from spin the bottle, so, you might say I’m a bit flumuxed.

Sexting is now being closely observed by our representatives in Congress. Yeah, I bet it is..There are discussions of whether or not this is some kind of child porn, and does there need to be federal legislation, and maybe an FBI probe.

Look boys and girls, this can be handled quite well without your beltway magic. Moms and dads across America, if you don’t want your daughter snapping booty shots and ending up on some perverts website, take the phone away. But how will i know where she is you say? well, how’s that working out for you now? maybe, 14 year old girls shouldn’t be at the mall for three hours a day, maybe they shouldn’t be wearing shorts that say juicy on the butt. Look, I’m no expert, but if you can’t get your kids to behave correctly, you think Barney Frank and Harry Reid have the answer? I don’t even want to know what they have on their phones…(Shot Of Pelosi) oh thats just wrong

10% Gay

DC is considering a bill to legalize gay marriage. That is so gay, and expensive.
Gay marriage and divorce is a red herring. Gay marriage and gay divorce is not about “gay,” it’s about money.

One of the demands that gay and lesbians have is they are denied the fiscal benefits accorded to straight couples. That’s true. But the answer isn’t to give it to gays. The answer is to take it back from straights and institute a flat tax of 10% that would make this and so many other arguments moot. With a flat tax, all of the deductions would disappear, as would the mountains of paperwork. we could make realistic budgets, and save billions.

If we had a VAT or a flat tax, we would not need special exemptions for special groups. Marriage would again be a contract between two people. There would be no need for Defense of Marriage act, etc..

So why not do this? Inertia, in the shape of the IRS, the accounting industry, state gov’t revenue collections, and of course, every business that benefits from the current tax policies. But the long version is a simpler and more prosperous economy. Sadly however, the long run is a political orphan with no hope of adoption by this two party corruption.

New survey shows indicates 20% of Americans believe that God directly influences the economy. This just in-God is a Chinese factory worker.
President Obama spoke to the UN Wed about the global warming & poverty, but not about jobs. But what would he say? Can we have them back?

Flash Mobsters

“Flash mobs” are robbing stores. You’ve seen the videos. People, connected by Twitter & Facebook, meet and bum rush the clerk and employees to steal everything from Twinkies to televisions. Just because you put “flash” in front of the act doesn’t make it any different from organized crime. It’s a crime, organized by criminals, intent on theft or damage. Just a matter of time before someone “lights up” a “flash mob.”

Anti-Matter Matters

Headline screams “Ephemeral Antimatter Trapped for Amazingly Long 16 Minutes!!”
Ironically, this field of science/philosophy is so clouded by a litany of big words that the real meaning is lost. And that is-You knew it all along.

The crux of the antimatter debate is, if there was a big bang, a beginning, then would there eventually be a big contraction?
Scientists for years speculated that there wasn’t enough matter, ergo a massive enough gravitational effect on space time to bring it all together. If there was “invisible matter” however, anti-matter, with an opposite charge, then a contraction would be an inevitability.
And then another big bang? And another contraction?

There is no “time” at a singularity, so the infinite number of big bangs could occur simultaneously. That’s a little hard to wrap you’re head around, unless you went to Catholic schools. It’ s funny how so much of this aspect of science, which threatens the dogma of organized religion actually echoes monotheistic religious beliefs.
“Always was and will be?”

Neils Bohrs, a physicist of much renown, said the ultimate answer would be less of an equation, and more of a song. I love that. The same, but different, every time we sing.

Running for Those Who Stand For Us

I grew up two miles from the Pentagon. My father, a DC cop and Korean war Vet used to say that the West/North wall of the Pentagon faced Arlington National for a reason. A reminder of who protects us.

I want to raise money for those US military members and their families who have sacrificed so much so we may have this freedom. Everyone who donates at least $10 will have their name on the back of my shirt. On the front of my shirt will be the names of those who died at the Pentagon on 9/11. Please…cover my back!
