Chip has performed stand up comedy since 1982, appearing on dozens of network television shows and writing for the Tonight show. In 1989, Chip opened Headliners Comedy Club, where he hired dozens of then unknowns such as Ray Ramano, Kevin James, Bill Maher, Wanda Sykes, and Martin Lawrence.

TV Guide says, “Chip is funny.” The San Diego Reader writes, “Chip’s act kept us in stitches,” and The Washington Post says, “Chip tilts the PC windmills. …Hilarious! Franklin’s stand-up act is one of the best.”

A veteran stand-up comedian, Chip has headlined thousands of shows at America’s top venues as a stand-up, speaker, and featured guest. With over a dozen appearances on national televison, including Evening at The Improv, Comic Strip Live, VH-1 Standup Spotlight, MTV, Comedy Central comedy specials, The CBS Morning Show, and The A-List on A&E, Chip has also written for The Tonight Show. In addition, Chip has over 1000 college appearances in more than 48 states, and has dozens of performances before Fortune 500 clients at such storied venues as the White House, Carnegie Hall, Constitution Hall, and The Kennedy Center.

In addition, Chip is often asked to speak on the media and his latest book, “Speed Bumps and Guns- 20 years Inside Talk Radio,” will be released in the fall of 2014.
