Chip Franklin started playing music professionally in high school, and not soon after wrote and produced his first solo album, featuring the talents of local Grammy winning musicians from the Washington DC area. The following are a collection of original compositions, assisted in no small part by Grammy winners John Jennings, arguably one of the best guitar players in the country, and co-producer of many albums by Mary Chapin Carpenter, and Jon Carroll, a two-time Grammy winner writer, arranger, and overall amazing musician. (Not to mention a former member of the “Starland Vocal Band.”) Grammy Winner Mary Chapin Carpenter also sings back-up on a couple of cuts.
